Pastors Philip and Candice Farrington

have been in ministry for over 20 years, starting as youth pastors and then assistant pastors at Ghent Church of God. Pastor Phil had a vision for planting a church and started having services in a local hotel conference room until it eventually grew to the point of needing a larger venue. It was then he rented a local fire department to have services in. Eventually he purchased 17 acres where Freedom Ministries is now located. Although the church that was built there burned down 3 years ago, they have continued to grow and thrive in the youth building, now being used as the current but temporary sanctuary. Plans have been made, and ground has been broken on the new church that is being built on campus at Freedom Ministries where they desire to see the hurt, the broken and the lost come and find their personal freedom. They have 3 beautiful children, Elijah, Jay and Addison.
